Curious Dog Is Fascinated With A Pod Of Dolphins
Ginger the golden dog loves taking boat rides. She enjoys the motion of the ocean and her face getting misted from the waves. Watch as she is out on a typical boat ride with her owners on a Saturday afternoon when a pod of bottlenose dolphins appear right in front of Ginger. At first the pup looks completely confused, but then she cannot take her eyes off of them!
Ginger’s head moves left to right as she stares at the giant fish in the water trying to figure out what they are. It looks like she is either going to run away in fear or jump in the water to play with them. It looks like she is getting showered with rainbows and the mist from the leaping dolphins creates colorful markings above the doggy’s head. This incredible video of a dog and his dolphins is very incredible!
The dog’s first time meeting bottlenose dolphins is one to remember. She looks so excited, she almost jumps overboard to go and swim with her new best friends. Ginger’s ears flap in the wind and you can almost see a smile come across her face when she first encounters the fish. When they dive back deep underwater, Ginger eagerly looks around for them, waiting for them to come back up to the surface. When they finally do, Ginger starts shaking with excitement and bounced her head back and forth, trying to look at them all at the same time not wanting to miss a thing!
You can hear her little nose sniffing away, trying to get a scent of the fish and figure out what they are. Ginger gets her head down as low as she can towards the water, her nose twitching is curiosity. She really wants to go into the water and swim with the dolphins and stretches her neck as long as she can to get close to them.
Bottlenose Dolphins are the most common of the dolphin family. They can be found in warm seas and oceans worldwide except for the Arctic and Antarctic regions. They live in groups, as you see here in this video, and are an incredible smart fish. They have been known to be able to mimic humans and other animals, use artificial language and have an amazing ability to recognize objects and categorize them. They can transmit knowledge and experience from generation to generation; therefore the species just keeps getting smarter and smarter as they evolve.
These dolphins have gained major popularity from being showcased in aquarium shows due to their high intelligence and also became quite known from movies such as Flipper. They are so smart that they have been used by the military to locate sea mines and to find and mark enemy divers. They are a friendly fish and love to interact with people and apparently, dogs! They communicate through pulsed sounds, whistles and even body language. When they leap out of the water, snap their jaws or slap their tails against the surface of the water, they are talking to each other or trying to say something. We wonder that their body language means in this video and what they are trying to say to the dog?
