LA: Neighbors Caught Man Lighting Brush Fire near Woolsey Canyon, LA County, California

A man was caught by neighbors after lighting a brush fire near Woolsey Canyon and The Chatsworth Reservoir in the Chatsworth / Lake Manor area and held until a Sheriff’s Deputy was able to arrest him.

LA County Engine 75 first in reported a 50’ x 50’ spot grass fire with a slow relate of spread. They were able to contain the fire and get it out within 30 minutes, thank God no winds today or it could have been a different story. This was the area of the major Woolsey Fire in 2018 that burned from the Valley to the Beach destroying many structures in it’s path.
