Keto Maple Pecan Custard

Good day all and welcome back to the channel. Today, we've got a sweet treat that might serve as a tasty and guilt free treat for those following a keto lifestyle on Valentines day.

Basic Custard:
3 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup allulose (or whatever keto friendly sweetener you enjoy)

NOTE: Allulose will caramelize and result in a darker custard compared to other keto sweeteners.

Mix ingredients together until thoroughly incorporated but without getting a lot of air mixed in.

Add mix to prepared baking dishes (I used melted butter to help keep the custard from sticking).

Add baking dishes to a pan, then add boiling water to create a water bath.

Place pan in a 350 degree oven and bake until a knife inserted comes out clean.

NOTE: Cooking time will depend on the size of the baking dishes. My custards were finished in ~ 1:05.

This basic recipe can be modified to suit your tastes! The custard made in this batch included ~ 1/4 cup of keto maple flavored "syrup" and some keto cinnamon roasted pecans. Link for recipe for cinnamon roasted pecans is:

You could easily make yours as key lime or chocolate or peanut butter or whatever.

Enjoy! And let me know which flavors you made in the description below!
