Today we're headed to Savannah Georgia to the beautiful, Historic Colonial Park Cemetery. Established in 1750, this cemetery is the final resting place for some of Savannah's most notable politicians, early settlers, founders and war heroes most notably, Button Guinnett, president of Georgia at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Button's unique signature is actually among the most valuable of signatures on the Declaration of Independence and is housed in the Georgia archives in Morrow Georgia. Button passed away just 10 months after the signing of the Declaration at the age of 42. 700 bodies of those who lost their lives to Yellow Fever are also buried on the property.
