Perception Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

How is it that a handful of people can look at the exact same person, place or thing and every one of them will come up with a different description of that person, place or thing?

The person, place or thing is just there —-in the present moment—But all the perceptions can be very different.

It is fascinating to me how our belief systems and past experiences can impact what we see, perceive and how we feel.

So maybe our perception has nothing to do with the person place or thing, but it has everything to do with the filters or lens through which we view the world?

As I write this podcast description, I am reminded of this poem and think it is very fluid for today’s conversation. I look forward to your thoughts and comments. Blessings!!

Let nothing disturb thee;
Let nothing dismay thee;
All things pass;
God does not change.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God finds he lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
