Retired CIA Agent On MSCIA: All Of My Republican Friends Are Scared Of The Trump Admin, Elon Musk

Ali Vitali: I have two questions that I hope we can dispense with quickly. The first is, what does it tell you that there is less outrage than you think that there would be here? Democrats have been vocal about the fact that they are concerned. There have been some Republicans, but the, the chorus is small. What does that tell you?

Retired CIA Agent: So, you know, so much for the party that backs the blue, the Republican Party. In, in private, all of my Republican friends think this is absolutely ludicrous, but they're scared in private and so, you know ordinarily you would see, you know particularly GOP senators saying, well, hold on a second. You know the FBI needs reform. Everybody can agree on that, but a whole scale purge of federal law enforcement certainly is not good for the American people. But you don't hear that. And I think that's just because the sense of, you know palpable fear that they have of the Trump administration, of Elon Musk, um, of getting primaried, of their political futures. But they know it's wrong. I'm absolutely confident of it.

Ali Vitali: So that's the landscape from a government view. What is this also do to the pipeline of people getting into law enforcement, if you're trying to take out huge swaths of people that are already there and serving?

Retired CIA Agent: Right, Ali. So there's another piece of this too is that what the federal government has been asked to do and this is, you know, I hear from a lot of former colleagues in the CIA and the FBI and the State Department, is that they've been asked to provide the names of officials who are in their probationary periods that's with service four years and less. And that's because they have less rights. And so, again, these government entities are sending in lists. And what does that mean is that a possible production enforce. That's Generation Z that's the next generation of national security professionals who might be removed from service. How does that make Americans more safe?

Ali Vitali: Yeah, you do need people to continue doing these jobs. But of course, the goal of this administration is to lessen the workforce. They've got to do it somehow. Mark Polymeropoulos: thank you so much

If Republicans don't speak up for what they believe in because they're scared of the Trump administration, Elon Musk, or the threat of being primaried, then shame on them for being wimps. They should find another job.

However, claiming that Trump's goal is merely to reduce the workforce is an oversimplification. His objectives include "draining the swamp," eliminating corruption within the U.S. government, boosting the economy, securing the borders, and enhancing governmental efficiency.
