(This is an important discussion about the recently released DeepSeek AI software from China that can be downloaded for free. Mike Adams is building Enoch, a free AI system that he will release in March that can be downloaded to run on your computer without any connection to the internet needed. You will be able to ask it all sorts of questions about living a healthy lifestyle and the best available advice for dealing with health challenges. Both Mike & Seth are using DeepSeek to accomplish meaningful tasks.

Many people have been concerned that China might have included 'back doors' in this DeepSeek product, which Mike addresses. The full software code is available and many technical papers have already been written about how it works. Besides, it can run on your computer without any connection to the internet. DeepSeek R1 is a reasoning system that understands chemistry and many other aspects of science. Mike shares the results of a complex scientific question he asked DeepSeek to solve and was very impressed with the results, especially since Mike already has results with a similar solution he uses in his analysis laboratory. This level of scientific reasoning isn't currently available in chatGPT and similar AI models.

Since DeepSeek is open source, the underlying software can be examined in detail. This is not the case with chatGPT and other proprietary AI products. Serious users of chatGPT have already run into major biases imposed by our government and the pharmaceutical industry. When the underlying model doesn't match scientific & engineering reality, it won't be able to reason correctly when asked to come up with solutions.

I already have online accounts for both DeepSeek and chatGPT and will probably upgrade the graphic card on my desktop workstation to be able to download and run DeepSeek locally.

This is an excellent discussion about where open-source AI products and proprietary AI systems are heading. — RAD)
