Who Are You Chasing

I am thinking we should chase after the ONE Who knows us best and loves us most. The ONE Who has all the power and authority in our lives. The ONE Who can navigate us away from all the snares of the enemy of our soul. Who are you chasing after? What are you chasing after? Two good questions!

Alot of times you will find me chasing after a “golf ball” as one of my favorite things to do on my day off is to play golf. But, on those days, I have already chased after God, I have already been filled with God, His way, truth, love and life.

God does want us to chase after Him first. He so desires our whole-hearted devotion. Being in His Word, praising Him, being grateful to Him, loving Him. Only this kind of wholly-holy devotion to God makes our day good and even great, and even may influence our golf game!!

We should chase after God first and like golf, where we play a round of golf from tee to tee, it is kind of like life, as we grow through our day, we are navigated by God, tee to tee, moment to choice.

I think we should be more than a “Sunday Christian” we should allow God in the all of our everything. Even when we play golf, God wants us to be aware of His Presence, He is always with us.

Sometimes we put way too much on our life plate and we crash and burn. The days my golf game has been at its worst is when I am burnt out and exhausted. It is like that in life too. We should allow God in the all of our life, even our schedule, chasing after God first, always gives us that 1 God, 1 Purpose, 1 Day at a time kind of living. This kind of living, chasing after God 1st, keeps us from lighting our own fires and walking in the light of a manmade fire that will flame out. Our strength flames out. But as we chase after God, He maintains our strength. He puts on our life plate what He knows we can handle well. That is why I let Him into the all of my life.

Yes, I am a golf ball chaser, but first I am a God chaser. I chase after God. He is the all of my everything. God orders my steps, and hopefully as I play the game of golf, I am not chasing the golf ball to far off, but hopefully making a par, I chase the bottom of the hole on the green. With God, I know I can succeed.
