Canada: Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre responds to U.S. tariffs – February 2, 2025

At a news conference in Vancouver, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre responds to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to place 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian products entering the United States. The tariffs are scheduled to come into effect on February 4.
In his remarks, Poilievre calls on the Liberal government to recall Parliament and pass his party’s ‘Canada First Plan’ in retaliation.
