The one that started it all for them. Southern Culture on the Skids (also SCOTS) formed in 1983 in Chapel Hill, NC. Known for their eclectic mix of rock, surf, and country, they released their debut EP "Voodoo Beach Party" in 1984 and their first album in 1985. The band's lineup evolved, finding their unique sound with the 1991 album "Too Much Pork for Just One Fork." Their hit "Camel Walk" featured in the movie "Flirting with Disaster." After signing with Geffen for "Dirt Track Date" (1995), they parted ways due to creative differences. SCOTS continued independently, releasing albums like "Zombified" (1998) and "Mojo Box" (2004). They've maintained a cult following, known for humorously exploring Southern culture themes
