One of the most prophetic speeches of the 20th Century: Rivers of Blood (1968) by Enoch Powell.

In 1968, the then British Shadow Secretary of State for Defense, Enoch Powell, made a bold declaration that unchecked mass migration into Britain would end up destroying the country. Little did he know that it would also quite possibly become the undoing of all of Western Civilization. Powell's "Rivers of Blood" speech that he gave in Birmingham would ignite protests across all of England. Powell received almost 120,000 (predominantly positive) letters and a Gallup poll at the end of April showed that 74% of those asked agreed with his speech and only 15% disagreed, with 11% unsure. One poll concluded that 61-73% disagreed with his superior sacking Powell. According to George L. Bernstein, many British people felt that Powell "was the first British politician who was actually listening to them". Despite this, the British government sacked Powell, who would never hold senior political position again.
