THE GOLEM: HOW HE CAME INTO THE WORLD (1920)

Paul Wegener's classic silent German Expressionist masterpiece about a man made of clay (Wegener) who is brought to life to save the Jewish people from total extinction. The third and final film in Wegener's "Golem" trilogy and the only one completely extant. Briefly seen in the palace is Wegener's then wife, Greta Schroeder who would portray the heroine in F.W. Murnau's "Nosferatu," two years later.
