"-Censoring the political speech of ordinary American citizens to try to violate the First Amendment. Do you think that is appropriate, Mr. Patel?

-No, Senator.

-Will you put an end to this, Mr. Patel, if confirmed to the FBI?

-Senator, if I am confirmed, I will work with Congress to expose any corrupt activities the FBI has engaged in, especially those related to censoring free speech.

-We know from court cases filed across the country, and from the extensive factual findings that have been made, that it is on record that the FBI and other agencies of this government, under the last administration, pressured and coerced social media companies to censor the speech of ordinary Americans on a variety of topics—from Hunter Biden’s laptop to COVID and the Dobbs decision.

Whatever it was, they tried to censor it. The Constitution does not allow the government to do that. The FBI attempted to get social media companies to do it.

Will you put an end to this practice, Mr. Patel, once and for all?

-Senator, I will always follow the law.

-Thank you."
