This week's video is very special for me, as it is the culmination of a two-year writing experiment in which I drafted my first factual non-fiction book on the Lockheed Bribery scandal, which is now available at Amazon and includes far more facts and figures than what I've quoted in this video:

The Lockheed Bribery scandal was a series of illegal activities undertaken by the Lockheed Corporation between 1956 and 1975, during which the firm used illicit payments and coercion in order to secure sales for the F-104 Starfighter, the C-130 Hercules and the L-1011 Tristar in Saudi Arabia, Italy, Japan, West Germany and the Netherlands, Lockheed enlisting a vast array of resources to reach their goals, ranging from members of the Dutch royal family, to prime ministers and presidents, and ex-war criminals with underworld connections.

Part 1 covers the initial undertaking of the scandal between 1956 and 1975, with profiles covering each of the nations affected and those who were complicit in the scheme, providing context as to the people, the aircraft and the events.
