(Sierra Army Depot) Renovation of the Artillery of Campaign of the Brazilian Army

The Sierra Army Depot provides support to allied nations within the USSOUTHCOM headquarters area through Foreign Military Bandages (FMS) and Excess Defense Articles (EDA) offerings.

In this video, the USSOUTHCOM leader visits the Sierra Army Depot to learn more about the types of equipment available and the process used to facilitate the transfer of equipment.

Video portrays U.S. military weapons and equipment filmed from solo and air, as well as real training events in Central and South America with allied nations.

The FMS Purchasing Mecca

This deposit will have to remove most of the "new" M198 obuseiros for the Brazilian Army, thus replacing the 155mm M-114 venáveis (the Brazilian exemplars were made logo after the 2nd World War and during the Korean War).

In the video, it is possible to observe one of the wings with the stock of obuseiros at open fire. For the fabric, 58 units of the M198 stock can be conferred only in that sector. There are several others with stocks from different years of manufacture. The last M198 were produced in 1992, in the middle of the Gulf War, when they began to be replaced in the US Army by the M777 and similar.

This same local produced the recently incorporated 50 M-113s of different versions, self-propelled M-109s, and their remunerative armored vehicles, and heavy armored rescue/resgate cars on lizards, capable of supporting SPG M-109 and MBT M-60 in the field, to mention some of the heaviest cars in use by the Brazilian Army.
