THE LORD’S PRAYER: AN ANIMATED JOURNEY INTO HEAVEN’S POWER

Opening Address: "Our Father Who Art in Heaven." The Lord’s Prayer begins with an intimate acknowledgment of God as our Father. This signifies our relationship with Him—one of love, trust, and divine kinship. It reminds us that we are His children, created in His image and called to live in communion with Him.

“You cannot have God for your Father if you do not have the Church for your Mother.” — St. Cyprian

Catechism Reference: CCC 2786: By calling God "Father," the language of faith indicates two main things: that God is the first origin of everything and transcendent authority; and that he is at the same time goodness and loving care for all his children.

Three Points to Ponder:
1.Calling God “Father” signifies our adoption into His family through Christ, highlighting our dignity as His beloved children.

2.Recognizing God as “in heaven” reminds us of His sovereignty and omnipotence, guiding us to place our trust in His divine plan.

3.This opening address invites us into reverence and humility, approaching God with both confidence and awe.

Pax et Bonum,
S.O.S. for CHRIST
