Swedish gold coin of King Oscar II of Sweden 1872-1907 and of Norway 1872-1905. Sweden and Norway were in union between 1814-1905 This coin is a result of the Scandinavian Monetary Union of 1873-1914 which was successful. The union was closed between Denmark and Sweden Since Denmark controlled Iceland and Sweden controlled Norway, Iceland and Norway were also included in the monetary union
