Apatros Review Ep-0128: Inhumanoid [1996] ("Circuit Breaker")

AR-0128: A pretty nasty space-bound softcore synthetica thriller about a space mechanic whose wifey loves to pop some space opioids, to the point her habit has caused harm to their unborn child, now that the daughter is a young girl with a nasty neurological disorder, they need to get to the nearest space hospital fast. In order to take a shortcut, they travel through a quasar, which messes with the communications signals, so they're going through in radio and scanner silence.

Upon finding a derelict ship stranded in the quasar, the mechanic finds some serious trouble when the only survivor they find on that ship turns out to be a prototype android man with a hard-on for the mechanic's wifey - and this horny bot doesn't know jack-💩 about Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics...

Directed and written by a woman who really should know about scripting boundaries, Inhumanoid [known in Australia as "Circuit Breaker"] is a bad movie that goes to some places it really shouldn't. It is slightly more interesting as a synthetica [my term for movies about robots], but as a softcore erotica it sucks harder than a Godfrey's showroom [Aussie business that specialises in selling vacuum cleaners, now defunct].

As part of the review I also talk about my first DVD recorder and the awful reputation this make of recorder had [although it took me almost nineteen years to realise how bad this brand of recorder actually was - considering my one lasted the full distance for that model, I really am blessed that my gift for getting my tech to last longer than normal holds true].

My Grade: D [Bad]
