Psy-ops, propaganda and perception management has been seen as part of a necessity to modern warfare, a struggle for men’s minds as well as their bodies. In 1952 General Robert McClure’s years of lobbying finally resulted in the opening of a training center eventually known as the US Army’s Special Warfare Center, at Fort Brag North Carolina. Psychological Operations or Psy-op became the new all encompassing American Military term for persuasion efforts. Currently known as the PSYWAR School.
