AMERICA HAS ELIMINATED "EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW"

THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN AMERICA
Our ‘Criminal Justice System’ is badly broken.

When the president can pardon his son, wife, brother, and thousands of convicted criminals with the stroke of a pen, there is no justice in the land. When the president runs interference for his felon son there is no justice. When members of the president’s family can do as they please, extorting money from foreign governments only to enhance their own personal wealth, there is no justice. When a congresswoman can invest through ‘insider trading’ making millions and is told, “It’s okay for you because you’re a member of congress.” there is no justice.

When a famous movie star is caught, not for his first time, with cocaine in quantities sufficient to warrant a ‘trafficking’ charge , and he gets off with 6 weeks in rehab … there is no justice. When an Illegal Alien murders a woman on his 4th return to the country, having been deported 3 times previously and is simply deported then there is no justice. And the beat goes on and on and on.

The promise of ‘Equality under the law” is an empty one at best, and a horrific lie at worst. It’s an undeniable fact that the rich and powerful, famous and wealthy, and politically connected get a much easier ride on the criminal justice train. When Joe Lunchbox commits a crime his arraignment, trial, conviction and punishment will be nowhere near those of the rich, powerful famous, and obviously connected.

When an actor gets out of prison, now a felon, that felony conviction means absolutely nothing as he gets work right away. In some cases he walks from the prison walls [minimum security country club] straight to a Hollywood set and a multi-million dollar movie deal. When Joe Lunchbox gets out of prison [more than likely medium or maximum security hell-hole] he walks right into a world that is suspicious of him because he is a felon.

Being a felon only effects the poor, middle class, and the extremely rare upper class who for the most part buy their way out of it all.

What happens to Joe Lunchbox after he is released to the ‘free world’ again? His record will follow him to the grave without chance of forgiveness. He has never been allowed to ‘repay society’ which the legend speaks of. He can shoplift at the age of 17 and have it follow him to his 90-year-old grave. He can’t get a decent job or pursue a decent career forever more because his truly ‘branded’. The rich and famous don’t have to worry about this. For many of them, a criminal conviction is actually a badge of honor in the professional sports and movie industries.

Our system is so badly broken there may be no fixing it. It is so warped there may never be a ‘straightening out.’ What would it take to bring about equality under the law? What would it take to prevent defence attorneys playing the ‘Race Card’ with minority clients? What would it take to prevent racial prejudice [in either direction] from steering the course of arrest, trial, and sentencing? What would it take to reign in judges whose power has gone to their heads and are exercising unrighteous dominion? What would it take to straighten out the police/citizen relationship from border to border?

Our entire system of justice has been smashed to pieces. Tomorrow we’ll discuss how to fix it.
