Florida Gov Deputizes Thousands Of State Troopers, Gives Them ICE Powers

Governor Ron DeSantis saying – in a nearly 2-hour public roundtable, that he would veto the ‘weak’ immigration bill that lawmakers put forward called the Trump Act.
DeSantis said lawmakers were using Trump’s name to give the appearance of strength, but backed it up with ‘weak sauce’
One of the governor's biggest criticisms was that the bill made the state's Agriculture Commissioner the state's chief immigration leader, moving oversight of immigration procedures and grants out of the Governor's Office. The governor instead wants to streamline deportations and put an end to illegal migration.
