The “Light Bearer” - Counterfeit Moon god Nanna

Ur of the Chaldees was an ancient city that flourished until about 300 BC. The great ziggurat of Ur was built around 2100 BC and was dedicated to Nanna, the moon god. Abraham was born and raised in Ur of the Chaldees, which is in modern Iraq.

Joshua 24:2 “Joshua said to all the people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.’”
