An example of assembling a heavy armored personnel carrier based on the T-72B3 tank by one of the Russian repair units.

Inside, instead of a turret, an armored capsule for a 6-man landing force is organized with a layer of bricks between two armor sheets, covered with rubber on top. Additionally, the landing force is covered from above with an anti-drone visor with a layer of logs and rubber. The front of the BTRT will be equipped with a makeshift mine trawl.

👆👉 There have been plenty of prototypes converting existing tank chassis into APCs yet nothing comes to fruition. This is the result of frontline engineering at its finest. However, a few months ago there was footage that came out of one of Russia’s tank factories where what seemed to be a heavy APC was being tested, though nothing has come of it as yet. A fully fledged vehicle would be best for troops but this stopgap certainly has its benefits
