Sportcat Newz | Breaking News Washington, D.C. Aircraft Crash (Alert 3) In The Potomac River

BREAKING NEWS: WASHINGTON, DC
A tragic mid-air collision has just occurred over the Potomac River in Washington, DC. An Army Blackhawk helicopter from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, en route back to Davidson Airfield, collided with an American Airlines passenger jet that was inbound from Wichita, Kansas.

The incident happened approximately 2400 feet from the end of the runway after air traffic control altered the landing instructions for the American Airlines flight. The debris from both aircraft is now scattered in the Potomac River, in water about 30 feet deep with temperatures around 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

The American Airlines plane had 60 passengers and a crew of 4. The Army Blackhawk was carrying a crew of 3. At this time, there are no reported survivors.
