Ukraine continues to inflict crushing blows on Russian territory using modern technology. On Tuesday night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched more than 200 drones at various regions of Russia. This was the largest drone attack since the beginning of the war, Russian media reported.

During the attack, three major energy facilities in the Saratov region and Tatarstan were damaged. Fires broke out at the Saratov oil refinery and the Kristall oil depot, which were only localized several hours later. In Tatarstan, a gas tank and part of the infrastructure of the Gazprom Liquefied Gas company were damaged.
According to sources, 12 regions were attacked , including Belgorod, Oryol, Tula and Rostov regions . Some of the drones were aimed at facilities of the Kazan Aircraft Plant and an oil pumping station in Almetyevsk. Efficiency of Ukrainian technologies Ukraine is actively improving its drones, among which were the PD-2, "Bober", "Lyuty", UJ-22 models, as well as American ATACMS missiles. Over the past year, the intensity of drone attacks has increased exponentially. For comparison, in the whole of January 2024, Ukraine launched 109 drones, while on just one night on January 14, 2025, their number exceeded 200. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the "shooting down" of 180 drones and six ATACMS missiles. However, data on significant damage to infrastructure facilities indicate the opposite. The introduction of temporary restrictions on the operation of airports in Nizhnekamsk, Kazan, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Tambov and Saratov only confirms that the Russian air defense system is unable to cope with new challenges. The attack represents a new level of Ukrainian military strategy aimed at weakening Russia's logistical and energy capabilities. Analysts say the war Moscow started is turning into an avalanche of deadly strikes against Russia itself. Ukraine is using increasingly powerful and sophisticated drones, turning the conflict into a showcase of advanced weaponry and tactics. The storm of war has returned to Russia, showing that technological superiority can turn the tide of any conflict.
