Dateline, USA (1952); a market place of ideas, WE THE PEOPLE NEED a FAIR and HONEST PRESS.

The movie reminds me of the day that Hurst (as the Houston Chronicle) purchase/crushed The Houston Post run by Olivia Culp Hobby and family. I was there with the stooges from the NYTs and others. I told them, how can a public daily be sold without the staff or public in ivolved in comment.

I said, remember it is the printed bill in the public square that tells the story like that of Tenemien Square...take a doose and-a-half and put one of the Goss printing presses to a barn and get the word out…I remember the news when they build their new building and not long after the purchase of new color printers by Goss…

The NEXT DAY...the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 was blown up, allegedly by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.

They were to have done this for the purpose of Freedom Of Speech. I don't know what was said, or who did what...but like those Kook Chasers down under...running around a dirt track....someone always comes out on top...let is be U. S.! We may rethink AI after the next Carrington like CME.

When I was a child we walked through the old family power shop where drives transferred energy by belt to the equipment, powered by steam, before near total electrification of manufacturing save for the big diesel or turbines that power electrification across the globe not served by “green” energy or to cheap to meter nuclear! Even without power, the press got the news, truthful news, and propaganda, to the people to decide what they think of the events of the day.

How many time do we need to "roll in the red dust" before we reject the imperial state; before our virtue is restored...as so it goes.
