Aircraft of the U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II depart Marine Corps Base Hawaii on July 25, 2024, as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). Participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands from June 27 to August 1 are 29 countries, 40 surface ships, 3 submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft, and 25,000 soldiers. RIMPAC, the largest international maritime exercise in the world, offers a special training opportunity while encouraging and maintaining collaborative connections among participants that are essential to maintaining sea routes' safety and ocean security.
