In the year 410AD, Alaric king of the Visigoths sacked the city of Rome and plundered its treasures. This was a pivotal event which led to the collapse of the western Roman empire, some 60 years later. But it did not happen in a vacuum. History shows that a combination of factors such as plagues, wars, natural disasters, inflation and bad leadership may weaken a civilization to the point that it becomes vulnerable.
In this fascinating interview with ‪Mountain Bullion‬ we discuss the circumstances which led to the fall of the Roman empire and their uncanny resemblance to current events in the United States. We ask the question - is western civilization destined to collapse as well? and if so, what will that look like?
