The T-90M started to receive additional blocks of 4C20 Kontakt-1 ERA above the 4C23 Relikt ERA blocks on the upper frontal part and above the ones on the turret armour plates.
We first saw it installed in an improvised way by frontline repair battalions, but it seems to be becoming a more standard and widespread practice.
Thus, the main armor of the frontal projection of the hull and part of the turret is not damaged at all even in the event of a hit by such ATGMs as the BGM-71F.
The equivalent resistance to 1400-1450mm in the front hull sector and up to 1600 in the upper sector of the turret frontal plates.
