STORY BEHIND THE SONG
This is the first song I began to write for my 2023 Psalms Project. There are few things I enjoy in music more than sitting down in front of a piano with my Bible open. That was how I began writing this beloved Psalm on a cold January morning in 2022.

The Hebrew word "Shaddai" is usually translated "Almighty" in English and may have its roots in the ancient Akkadian word for "mountain". The image of a mountain is strong and immovable. Even so, the Bible says, "the mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD." (Ps 97:5)
