On August 24, 2001, Air Transat Flight 236 had a major emergency following the failure of both engines whilst on the Atlantic Crossing between Canada and Portugal. The Loss of the engines caused them to be too far to reach Lisbon, and they had to land at an airport 100kms away. Would the Captain be able to glide the massive Airbus A330 to Lajes Airport?
