Ukraine SUCCEEDED Again! Putin EMBARRASSED as Most Powerful Russian Strongholds COLLAPSES in Moscow!
The war is now evolving into a new phase with deep attacks, drone raids, sabotage and long-range missile attacks felt by Russia on its own territory.
On the one hand, Ukraine is forcing Russian troops to retreat by launching ground operations in critical regions such as Kursk; on the other hand, it is striking deep into Russian territory with large-scale drone attacks, as if testing air defense systems in cities such as Belgorod, Oryol, Tula, Ryazan and even Moscow.
The Kremlin, which has been saying for years that “our borders are secure,” is now forced to defend itself against Ukrainian drones flying in the skies of cities, refineries shaken by missile attacks and the people of Moscow waking up to the sound of explosions. While the war is taking on a multifaceted and hybrid character, the fact that Russia’s own security area is under threat in an unprecedented way is forcing the Kremlin to confront the reality of “war on its own territory.”
Simultaneously with these moves by Ukraine, the Russian army is also launching missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities. Both sides are engaged in a “deep strike capacity” race.
However, the most striking development in recent weeks is that Ukraine has launched drone attacks on many Russian cities, including Moscow, almost “simultaneously” and has been pushing the Russian fronts by expanding its ground offensive in Kursk Oblast during the same period.
Such a picture in the third year of the war is interpreted by experts as an “unexpected turning point”. Because Russia had long maintained the thesis that its own internal regions were safe from Ukrainian attacks.
Now, from the mayor of Moscow to the regional governors, statements with the theme of “We repelled the UAV attack throughout the night, parts fell, but there was no damage or loss of life” are heard almost every day.
It is even reflected in the reports that flights at Moscow Airports have been canceled, some large passenger planes have been diverted to other cities, and sirens are blaring in the city skies.
People in big cities are anxious because of the threat of drones and missiles, explosions are reported in regions such as Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, Saratov, Voronezh, Ryazan, and local authorities have no choice but to confirm sabotage or attacks.
In this context, the consequences of Ukraine’s large-scale drone attack across Russia have been staggering.
Moscow and four regions have been under heavy drone attack.
Russia said Ukraine attacked Moscow and other cities with its drone fleet.
Ukraine targeted Moscow and other Russian cities with at least 24 drone fleets.
The scale of Ukraine’s drone attacks on Russia coincided with a series of Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian territory.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that at least 24 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Tula, Kaluga, and Bryansk, as well as the Russian capital.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced in a post on his official social media account that a mass drone attack was attempted overnight. Moscow regional governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed the attack, writing that three unspecified buildings were damaged but that there were no injuries.
Flights at some of Moscow’s major airports were delayed or canceled due to the attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that six drones were shot down over the Moscow region and one over the capital, while other drones targeted areas on the border between Ukraine and Kursk.
Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the reported attacks, which come a day after Russia launched its own major drone attack on the Ukrainian capital.
The drones targeted Moscow.
New details are emerging of the biggest raid since the beginning of the year.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said in a statement that air defense systems had prevented attacks by Ukrainian drones at four points around the Russian capital Moscow.
In a statement on social media, Sobyanin said that air defenses in Kolomna and Ramenskoye, southeast of the capital, had repelled the "enemy" drones, without specifying how many there were.
There was no damage or loss of life at the site where the fragments fell, Sobyanin wrote.
Experts and emergency teams are continuing their examinations at the scene.
The extent of the attack will become clear after the examinations.
Sobyanin reported that two UAVs heading towards Moscow were shot down by air defense systems in Podolsk, south of the capital, and one UAV was shot down in Troitskiy, southwest of the capital, and one in Shchyolkovo, northeast of the capital.
