The Grift Clock Is At It Again: TICK TOCK! Doomsday Clock Set To 89 Seconds To Midnight

Posted • January 29, 2025: Honestly, this writer completely forgot the Doomsday Clock was a thing. And after writing this story, she'll go back to not thinking about it until they come out and update it again. The Science and Security Board moved the clock to 89 seconds to midnight. Yawn. So what are we supposed to do? Panic? Prep? This is all political theater. Nobody cares. ❤️ Nope. Not a soul. Even the ones who pretend to care don't really care. -- 5… 4… 3… 2… 1½… 1¼… 1⅛… Bingo, because if we put it at midnight and nothing happens, their (already limited) credibility goes bye-bye. Yes clearly we’re currently closer to doomsday now than we were during the Cuban Missile Crises. Reminder that the doomsday clock has been 10 minutes further away from midnight during the Cuban nuclear crisis than it is today. Which tells you all you need to know. The Doomsday Clock is such a load of nonsense, anyone involved with it in any way should be ignored or, better, relentlessly mocked. It's almost like it's driven by ideology and not facts. (…)
