Learning How to Live the Life of the Redeemed

Paul had to be trained to be an apostle of God; and that training included stoning and shipwrecks.

At one point he shared how he was so human, and how three times he asked God to take something out of his life that seemed to be standing in the way.

Jesus' words to him were, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9

He was saying, "My grace is training you, Paul. As you go through this and learn to live the life of the redeemed, my strength will be made complete in you."

This is true for every one of us.

We need to let God's grace train us, because we've never lived this kind of life before. We only know how to live like the world, we don't know how to live like the redeemed.
