Senate Republican Leaders Defend Federal Aid Freeze

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) said the White House was clarifying the funding freeze and that it's "not unusual" for administrations to "pause" funding as he and Senate Republican leadership spoke on their legislative agenda to the press from the U.S. Capitol. The majority leader also addressed the confirmation process and Democrat's apparent blocking of nominees. He said, "they can do this the hard way or the easy way. If they want to continue to obstruct and delay, we're going to continue to grind and grind and grind. And we'll do that through the weekend if necessary
