Perseverance is exploring rock outcrops along the rim of Mars' Belva Crater. Over 2,300 miles (3,700 kilometers) away, NASA's Curiosity rover is actively drilling a sample at “Ubajara,” a site within a crater officially named but with a nickname for its drill location.

These nicknames, along with thousands of others, are applied by NASA missions to craters, hills, boulders, and every feature studied, offering a personal touch to the exploration of the Red Planet.
