Welcome to Deep Dive with Dan Sellman...

I just realized how important the position of DNI is and for Tulsi. DNI is fairly new... since 2004. after 9/11. Mishaps at the WTC, PA and Pentagon sites.

Intelligence failures that led to the mishaps?

DNI is a big deal... but... you can be DNI if you have common sense, critical thinking and critical analytical skills. Plus a good support team.

CIA! DIA, from DoD! NSA a very powerful agency. DNI has a big responsibility to make sure the President receives fairy accurate info on intelligence matters.

Who is on the senate intelligence committee:

Nominee Tulsi Gabbard's chance of winning a confirmation is iffy because of two RINOs on the committee. Collins from ME and Cornyn from TX.

One reliable source saus at least one senator on the committee wants a secret vote. Nothing new. Maybe it is because of reelection concerns? Collins is running for reelection in 2026. Why can't voters know how their senators vote?

The committee had a closed meeting at 2:30 this afternoon, Jan 28. The confirmation hearing is on Thursday.

PS, I will go to RJK, Jr,'s confirmation hearing for HHS tomorrow. I have to be there really early in the morning.
