More than 150,000 still without power in Ireland after Storm Éowyn

Storm Éowyn caused “unprecedented” damage in Ireland, leaving over 150,000 without power and 74,000 without water.

Record winds of 183 km/h (114 mph) were recorded in County Galway, the hardest-hit area.

Repairs to electricity and water services are ongoing, with power restoration expected for most by Friday, the BBC has reported.
