Police Step in After Man Kidnaps Young Girl

On September 8th, 2021, a mother’s worst nightmare came alive when her childhood friend attempted to kidnap and flee with her 5 year old child. The male had also allegedly assaulted the woman who had several witnesses backing her claim. The male was quickly located near an intersection on the interstate highway and a tense standoff followed. The quick response by the officers eliminated any chances of the suspect crossing state lines and the mother was finally reunited with her child after an intense period of separation. The male was charged with kidnapping of a minor, grand theft and battery.
