Here’s a simple and delicious pulao biryani recipe that you can try:

Ingredients:

2 cup basmati rice (soaked for 20-30 minutes)

1/2Cup ghee or oil

1 bay leaf

2-3 cloves

1-inch cinnamon stick

2-3 green cardamoms

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 medium onion (thinly sliced)

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 green chili (slit, optional)

2TspSalt( to taste)

4 cups water

Instructions:

Prep the Rice
Wash the soaked rice gently and set it aside.

Heat ghee or oil in a pan.
Add the sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste , 🍅 and green chili, and sauté for a minute.

Add chicken and cook for 2, 3 minute.

Add bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms, and cumin seeds. Let them splutter for a few seconds.

Sprinkle salt,black pepper , dried plums and biryani masala.

Add Water
Pour in 4 cups of water. Stir once and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat, cover the pan.

Cook the Rice
Add the drained rice and gently mix it.

Sprinkle a pinch of yellow food colour.

Enjoy your fragrant and flavorful pulao with raita, pickle, or any curry.
