Mexico has received more than 4,000 migrants into the country according to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.
Sheinbaum saying that the majority of the deportees were Mexican, and that she feels Central American nations could also reach agreements with the U.S. to accept illegal migrants from other countries.
The leftist leader's comments are a reversal from her administration's comments saying her administration had not agreed to the restart of the "Remain in Mexico" program by the Trump administration, which would send non-Mexican migrants who had crossed the border back to Mexico while they wait for a court date.
Sheinbaum said that deportations received from the U.S. included migrants sent on four flights.
