Light of the world

Christians have mixed the metaphors of Jesus and say we need to be 'salt in society'. But Jesus said; 'we are lights in the world' (society). The world needs light, not salt, for salt doesn't affect the darkness. Maurice explains in a wonderful exposition of the culmination of the Beatitudes
