May petition akong nakita submitted by a group of highlanders called Mamanwa, indicating that the mining sites in Surigao del Norte is reportedly owned or claimed by the brothers Gov. Lyndon and Cong. Ace Barbers.
According to the complaint/petition, the mining area is operated by alleged Chinese partners of the Barbers brothers. Reports reaching Manila also said that the same Chinese group run POGO or IGL operations located near a cockpit reportedly owned by the Barbers family.
Stories are ripe in Surigao City that a Chinese drug syndicate is openly running their business in the Caraga-Leyte-Samar Corridor.
Early this week, shabu were found in an abandoned SUV by PDEA & other law enforcement agencies at Liloan seaport in Leyte valued at P400M. Said vehicle was reportedly driven by a brother of Qcom member who was able to escape.
PDEA also raided a hotel room in Surigao City, reported to be the venue of pot sessions of known local personalities hooked in illegal substances.
Surigao seas was once discovered by now PAOCC chief Gilbert Cruz as the dumping site of Cocaine and Shabu during his stint as Caraga region police director.
