This Sunday, Mike McClung shared another message from the Christlikeness series, called “The Power of the Cross.” Though we should be forever grateful for the power of the Cross working in us (forgiveness, justification, sanctification, etc.), we should also realize what the Cross has done for God. If we only consider what the cross has done for us, it keeps us self-centered and we will never realize our purpose...to become sons anddaughters in Christ’s image. The cross has one purpose: to bring us to God and for Him become all to and through us. The cleansing of our sins is a wonderful minor benefit compared to the larger work of defining our entire existence by Christ. _______________________________________________________________________
