Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia is ready for talks with the US. He said he is ready to discuss the Ukraine war with US President Donald Trump, praising him as “clever & pragmatic”. Putin’s remarks came after Trump expressed his bid to end the Ukraine-Russia war. The Russian President reiterated Trump’s claim of “stolen presidency”, saying, "I couldn't disagree with him that if he had been president, if they hadn't stolen victory from him in 2020, the crisis that emerged in Ukraine in 2022 could have been avoided." Earlier, Trump threatened stiff tariffs and sanctions on Russia to end the war.
