Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of Dallas, and Fort Worth Texas in opposition to President Donald Trump’s mass Deportation plan.
People are carrying signs and waving Mexican flags shouting things like, viva Mexico, and We are here - we’re not leaving. Protesters filled the sidewalks at the
Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas and near Trinity Park on 7th St. in Fort Worth.
People spread the word about the planned protests on social media over the weekend, with posts inviting people to "show up & speak up for those who can't."
One of the two 16-year-olds who organized the protest - Joseline Ibara - says that everyone knows someone who is illegal and encourages people not to ‘be mean’ adding we’re all human and we just came here for the American Dream.
The protests come as Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan has hit the ground running, launching ICE raids on at least 10 major cities across the nation, arresting on average 433 illegal migrants a day. Trump saying he wants that number increased to 1200 to 1500 illegal apprehensions a day.
More than 1500 Active Duty Troops have already been sent to the Southern Border while Deportation flights are well underway.
The Dallas police said they won’t interfere as long as the protest is peaceful, however their cruisers followed the protesters closely as they marched around the area.
