Slightly Depressed

The good are taken too soon.

It’s sad, in more ways than one, that Taylor Hawkins is no longer playing drums on this stupid planet we call Earth.

I mean, not only was he a great musician, he seemed like a genuinely good person; a decent human being.

Always smiling, forever energetic, and, as been described by many a fellow musician: never afraid to be a fan.

He didn’t go into situations with the attitude, “Yeah, I’m cool. I play for the Foo Fighters…”

He was first and foremost someone who loved music, and who would rather be down on the floor with people enjoying the band on stage, than in a private box, arms crossed, watching (and possibly judging).

Hence the video I describe here; a man surrounded by very serious journalists, just doing his thing, “cool” factor be damned.

He was also a husband, and a father.

Take away his celebrity and personality, and you still have a man who will be deeply missed by loved ones; people that have to live the rest of their lives with the memory of a spouse, and dad.

That’s a pain you never recover from.

Donald Trump, Justin Bieber, Ted Cruz, Madonna…

They’re all healthy and doing whatever it is they do.

And yet Taylor Hawkins is gone.

The good are taken too soon.

Just ask Robin Williams.
