In John 2:13-25, Jesus shows us his divine power and authority by cleansing the Jewish temple of merchants, money-changers, and animals. He also demonstrates His omniscience by predicting his own death and resurrection, and in Mark's account of a later similar event, the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 AD. This all-powerful, all-knowing Lord willingly offered himself for us, knowing our sin, yet loving us anyway.
