Christ of the Abyss
This is the name of the 2.5-meter statue of Jesus Christ, located at the bottom of the sea near Italy. Now it is covered with plankton at a depth of 17 meters.
The idea of creating this sculpture came to the head of the Italian diver Duilio Marcante during underwater meditation — and in 1954 his idea came to life.
