Pardons don't mean no investigation

With the last minute pardons issued by Joe Biden to his family, his allies and those who used the power of government to exert control over the American people, he was able to save them from having to face federal charges, in the event they committed federal crimes. That doesn't mean they cannot be charged for any state crimes they may have committed and it certainly doesn't mean they cannot be investigated. While some may argue that without the potential criminal charges, why go to the time, trouble and expense to investigate them? The right for the American people to know, in the full light of day, what their government has done in their name, or done TO them, is paramount. The people at the center of some of the most egregious actions taken by our government should not be able to just walk away totally scot-free. While justice may not be fully able to be reached, exposing these bad actors is a consolation prize that should be delivered for the American people. A full investigation could also serve to lift the pall of treachery and deceit that is hanging over those who orchestrated and participated in the wrong-doing we've seen under the Biden administration.
